I like Martin Samuel, but this article is a load of rubbish.

Scouse, like many football fans, are stuck in the past and blinded by 'tribal loyalties' so can't move on and behave like grown ups.

i know many Southern scouse who refuse to respect her Majesty ( at least publicly / on social media ) as it's not the done thing

Silly cunts

Ha ha ha... good old Alf !!

I watched a You Tube vid of a Scouse chat room discussing why they boo the anthem etc... never made sense to me so thought maybe something I have missed... I mean I get why they hate Thatcher, the Tories, The Sun newspaper etc... but couldn't get my head around the royalty bashing.... so I watched the hour long Scouse-a-thon....

....and I still don't know why they Boo the National anthem???

Re: Do Everton boo the National Anthem?
The problem here mainly is that, in general, the majority of scousers are attention seeking, self-entitled, self absorbed, egotistical cunts.

Went to Liverpool once.
Someone shouted "stop thief"
Everyone started running.

On the subject of scousers, verminous slags (bog trotters), Alf Garnett had it right

‘We get a better class of Paddy down here, they could afford a ticket for a train as well as a boat’

Sums it up perfectly

Not having that mate ;-)
I do actually KNOW some decent, upstanding pikies. Scousers far fewer on the ground. I also generally find a pikie's grasp of the English language to be superior to the whiny, nasal, vermin cunts. Even Brad's.

Cant say I recall this reaction of Liverpool fans in booing the anthem or royal PERSONAGES existing before the League Cup & FA Cup finals last season
Certainly didnt boo at the 2006 FA Cup final or any subsequent finals with the national anthem played or royal attendance as far as I remember

They probably hate Thatcher because she told them a few home truths, particularly that prick Derek Hatton whose about as socialist as Donald Trump, he sums them up really.

If you continually absolve people and in some cases applaud people for murdering Italians, drunkenly killing their own people, bunking into matches without tickets to the danger of all, producing bad comedians and chippy playwrights, thieving, low-lifery and general skull-duggery, this is what happens.

I'm no fan of them but have heard plenty of great tributes from Liverpool in the last few days.
We'll see tomorrow. You can tell Klopp is fearing something by his statement today

In my time, Issues at work or holiday has mostly been due to scousers and Scots. I can’t stand scousers.

Swindon.

I know of the hatred towards Thatcher but what about pre 1980's?
I watched many cup finals involving Liverpool but it was only recently that the booing of the national anthem began. Be interested to find out the origins of this. Also, seems odd that the country is hated but its ok for scousers ( gerrard, carragher etc) to represent said country.

They say they’re Scouse not English, the funny thing is that the rest of England would rather not be associated with them.

Stupid accent with a whiney victim mentality

Just another set of people to blame. Love it dont they the scousers? Worst people in the country by far. Scum to the core.

Everton were historically the catholic club, whereas Liverpool were protestant.

Glory-seeking Micks have changed that though.

Re: Do Everton boo the National Anthem?
only1billybonds,

Liverpool has always been a Labour stronghold but with the high unemployment in the city during the 80s they felt Thatcher was ignoring them and leaving them to rot so the Tory hatred manifested itself from that period.

The hatred of the monarchy probably relates to the Tory thing as well. They think both are geared to the middle to upper class and to the South of England.

Obviously they have that Irish catholic connection as well which is ingrained into them to hate anything English.
